A Sacramento man wanted for robbery and grand theft is behind bars.

Yesterday, Sacramento Police Department (SPD) announced that they arrested 22-year-old Jaron Silva on Thursday, September 8.

According to SPD, Silva was wanted for robbery and grand theft in three incidents in August and early September.

Silva allegedly ordered cannabis through delivery services and stole the products when the drivers arrived.

SPD says Silva reportedly brandished a firearm during one of the incidents.

Detectives from the SPD Neighborhood Crimes Unit led the follow-up investigation, identifying Silva as the suspect in the incidents and arresting him.

SPD reports that detectives discovered a privately manufactured firearm that they believe was the one Silva used during one of the robberies.

Authorities booked Silva into the Sacramento County Main Jail and charged him with robbery, grand theft, and firearm possession by a prohibited person.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Silva was arraigned on Monday in Sacramento Superior Court and was still in custody as of Tuesday.

Silva is to return to court on September 26.

SPD asks that anyone with information regarding Silva’s case contact the dispatch center at (916) 808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-4357.

SPD says callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

People can also submit anonymous tips through the P3 Tips smartphone app on Android or Apple.
