Fractured Sanity

A new horror puzzler is coming to VR headsets soon that may leave your mind in pieces.

Today, São Paulo, Brazil-based United Games announced Fractured Sanity, coming soon to SteamVR and the Oculus App Lab.

The game begins with the player awakening in a cell at the Triton Institute experimental asylum.

Rumors of abuse and horrible working conditions have begun spreading around the facility run by Dr. Matthew Simmons.

And most of the staff is missing.

Simmons has been researching the tripartite psyche, learning to break one’s id, ego, and superego.

But the doctor may have taken his research a little too far.

The ensuing adventure will challenge the player with interactive VR mechanics and realistic puzzles in a thrilling horror story.

The player’s quest will take them on a journey to discover the clinic’s dark truth and how they got there.

United Games developers are excited about the game’s release, saying sharing it with the world is a dream come true.

“Ever since I was 14, when I first read an RPG Maker magazine, I’ve been dreaming of making games for a living,” says Longhi. “Two years ago I wouldn’t have dreamt of developing games, it always seemed so hard and complex to me. Looking back on this process and releasing our first game might be the biggest accomplishment of my life so far.”

United Games began as a side project by Co-Founder Gabriel Marques, focusing on small mobile games.

The company shifted focus to VR games around 2019 when Longhi joined the team, and they began working on Fractured Sanity.

United Games has not revealed a release date for Fractured Sanity, but the company says it will announce it soon.
