MyndVR has entered into a partnership to expand the availability and scope of its VR-based cognitive, occupational, and physical therapy options.

Recently, VR service provider MyndVR announced its partnership with the European VR platform Oroi.

Oroi operates in France, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Through the partnership, MyndVR will provide Oroi Fit and Oroi Cognitive experiences.

Oroi Fit is a VR exercise app that MyndVR says combines physical exercise with immersive content.

Content includes activities like countryside biking and rowing a boat down a river.

Oroi Cognitive is a collection of daily games and exercises involving daily activities like food shopping, cleaning up a room, and getting dressed.

MyndVr says the partnership marks continued platform expansion beyond senior living engagement and activities.

“Our European Allies have been working hard to solve many of the same problems facing our aging population in America today,” says MyndVR CEO Chris Brickler. “This partnership will drive a new generation of therapeutic, immersive content all designed with love, care, and compassion.”

Oroi CEO Jorge Maylin says partnering with MyndVR opens new possibilities as the first trans-Atlantic partnership in an emerging industry.

MyndVR SVP of Clinical Operations Robin Viles says she looks forward to playing a role in the future of VR-based therapies.

“We’re embarking on a new era of VR-based digital therapeutics that will undoubtedly play a big part in the future of senior care,” says Viles. “I’m excited to apply my expertise to the company growth in VR development and research across a variety of clinical settings.”
