A Californian cannabis marketing platform is coming to the Midwest and the East Coast.

Today, Irvine-based Petalfast announced that it would expand its platform into the Michigan and Massachusetts cannabis markets.

According to the company, the United States cannabis market has rapidly grown, and nine out of ten Americans live in states where cannabis is legal.

Petalfast says its retail and sales engagement services can benefit emerging and growing brands in competitive markets.

According to Petalfast, its proven success in California shows how it can help cannabis companies experience rapid growth.

Petalfast CEO Jason Vegotsky says the Michigan and Massachusetts markets are the Californias of the East Coast, and the decision to expand company presence in those states was natural.

“As a company, we believe that people make us successful, so one of our top priorities is to recruit the most qualified, passionate, and authentic local teams to build strong relationships with trusted partners,” says Vegotsky. “This foundation sets us up to provide our two customers—the brand and the retailer—with the best services to scale their businesses. These launches are an important step in Petalfast’s expansion as more brands look to establish a national presence, and we are excited to continue growing nationwide alongside this industry.”

Petalfast says expanded licensing access in legal states has spawned increased competition across America.

Helping Cannabis Companies Compete

To help level the playing field a bit, Petalfast says it is reimagining route-to-market and distribution strategies nationally for cannabis brands.

According to Petalfast, its strategy will help prepare cannabis brands for a hyper-competitive landscape.

Petalfast says expanding into Michigan and Massachusetts gives their California clients new opportunities for market expansion, store distribution, and retail-level engagement to maximize sell-through.

Petalfast also says it is building supply chain partnerships in the new region to supplement brand production and manufacturing needs.

General Manager Brandon Riley will lead the Michigan team.

With a decade of relevant experience, Petalfast says Riley will spearhead the partnership and relationship-driven approach to building a strong, scalable portfolio and retail network in the state.

“Michigan is an exciting market,” says Riley. “And I look forward to continuing to support brands founded here and others new to the state.”

Petalfast says it will bring first brands to life in Massachusetts through its Field and Trade Marketing team.

According to the company, its engagement services support sell-through at retail.

The services include onsite demos, vendor events, training, and education.

Petalfast says it will service multi-state brands in the Massachusetts market after a successful California rollout.
