This summer, scores of comedians will take to various virtual stages in the digital realm to entertain real audiences worldwide.

On Monday, TCG World announced the month-long Roasted Comedy Festival, which will happen across multiple metaverse platforms during August.

The company is putting the event on through a partnership with the $JOKE community.

Manchester, UK-based comedy club Frog & Bucket, TCG World, and other global partners are all on-board with the $JOKE project.

Roasted will feature hundreds of comedians and a roster of music artists to keep crowds entertained between sets.

TCG World says the festival will be available across multiple metaverse platforms, potentially reaching millions of viewers.

To maintain momentum, TCG World says there will be additional comedy shows after the festival.

TCG World says previous events have attracted more than 20,000 attendees.

According to the company, Frog & Bucket Director Jessica Toomey is a shareholder.

TCG says Toomey will bring her experience and connections with influential comedians worldwide to the groundbreaking comedy event.

CEO David Evans says the event offers a fresh take on a major transformation happening in the technology world.

“We’re on the cusp of a technology revolution,” says Evans. “Our collaboration with $Joke brings a fresh and innovative approach to comedy, reaching audiences globally, powered by Key2 technology for ticket access.”

$JOKE Co-Founder Andy Price says the groundbreaking partnership will elevate their project and push comedy into a new era.

TCG World says partners will blend crypto, web 3.0, NTFs, and the metaverse into a revolutionary platform to help comedians succeed.

The company says $JOKE is ushering in a new era in comedy that adapts to the changing digital landscape and pushes its boundaries.

“The Roasted Festival will transform how comedy is experienced,” says $JOKE Co-Founder Simon Young. “Transcending beyond traditional VR to present an immersive, high-tech performance space.”

TCG World says current projections predict the metaverse becoming a multi-trillion-dollar industry with millions of active daily users by 2030.
