Just when you thought you’d seen everything in the legal THC product world, cannabis-infused drinking straws are coming.

Last week, Los Angeles-based Cannabis Global announced that it had completed research and development for the straws.

The straws are the company’s latest release, following 23 other new products the company has launched in the past few months.

Cannabis Global says it will manufacture and distribute the straws, which should be available for purchase in the coming weeks.

According to the company, the straws can potentially change the liquid edibles market.

When consumers purchase a straw, they can use it in whatever beverage they choose.

The concept would enable consumers to turn their favorite drinks into liquid edibles.

Cannabis Global says the straws infuse beverages at precise dosage levels during use.

Cannabis Global CEO Edward Manolos says they solved several technological challenges while developing a “new class” of cannabis beverage products.

“We are most impressed with the ultra-fast psychoactive uptake times we have been able to achieve, with many users feeling the effects within a few minutes after taking their first sips,” says Manolos in a press release. “Not only do the infused straws provide a powerful cannabis experience, but they also impart great flavors into any beverage…We look forward to distributing these products under the Northern Lights and Fun Straw brand names to retailers and delivery services throughout California.”

At launch, the straws will be available in lemonade, raspberry-lemonade, and cherry flavors.

Manolos says Cannabis Global intends to release additional flavors in the coming months.

According to the company, the straws use all-natural, chemical-free cannabis nano-emulsions with ultra-fast onset times.

The company says some users may feel the psychoactive effects begin in under ten minutes.

In contrast, traditional edibles can take up to 45 minute or longer before a user feels the effects.

Cannabis Global says the straws’ infusion matrix is natural apple pectin mixed with tasteless cannabis extracts.

The company says the straws are free of unpleasant cannabis flavors.

Following the straws and other new products Cannabis Global says it will continue with additional releases through early 2023.
