It’s nearly time for the Farmers Cup to return.

The Harvest Cup has been the jam for the past two holiday seasons with the pandemic keeping us indoors.

The next Farmers Cup will combine two favorite cups into one, and this time, judges will come together in person.

With the past 710 Farmers Cup, the team did only one category, but this 2023 Farmers Cup will have seven.

And two subcategories.

Flower Cup + Edible Cup

You can smoke it, eat it and, even drink it!

Judges who choose to get a VIP Judge Kit will get to experience each category: Indoor, Outdoor, Mixed-light/Light Dep/Green House, Infused and Non-Infused Prerolls, Edibles, Non-Chocolate Edibles, and Cannabis Beverages.

  • Flower:
    • Indoor
    • Outdoor
    • Mixed Light/Green House/Light Dep
  • Prerolls:
    • Infused
    • Non-Infused (One judge kit only)
  • Edibles:
    • Chocolate
    • Non-Chocolate
    • Beverages

Judges who only like one category should jump on fast as single categories are still an option for the Farmers Cup.

Each Farmers Cup judge must be 21, from San Diego County, and available the entire weekend of January 27-29 and February 25 for the awards ceremony.

Mega Bowl IV:XX

So the Super Bowl is gonna be like it always is, but with a lot more fun on the sidelines!

The times for Farmers Cup judge pick-up days are the weekend of January 27, so judges will have plenty of time to plan for their Super Bowl party.

The NFL Final Division games will also be elevated because the judge kit pickup days will include three different dispensaries that weekend.

Judges will have until February 3 to submit their ballots for the best cannabis, edibles and beverages.

This means the NFL Conference championships will also overlap with the Farmers Cup judging period!

Licensed Cannabis Brands Are Encouraged to Enter

All brands in California are welcome to join the competition for the heart of the San Diego market and the trophies that back it up, of course.

Winning the Farmers Cup is not like any other competition, this is a people’s choice competition!

Important Dates:

  • Final drop off of contestant entries: 1/19
  • Pickup: 1/27, 1/28, 1/29
  • Ballots in by 2/12
  • Awards ceremony 2/25

The People’s Choice winners will have their logos engraved on the light-up crystal trophies.

Brands can win multiple ways with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; plus trophies for Highest THC, CBD, Most Cannabinoids, and Most Terpenes.

Also, each category usually has approximately five “Best Of” trophies where judges further separate winners by best taste, smell, smokability, effect, and even packaging.

Brand contestants also receive the raw details of feedback provided by a large panel of judges.

Thursday, January 19 is the final delivery day for all entries to arrive at their participating dispensaries.
