The San Diego Cannabis Farmers Market (SDCFM) held its Farmers Cup-420 Edition awards ceremony last weekend, drawing nearly 2,500 attendees.

SDCFM held the event on Saturday at the Four Points by Sheraton in San Diego, where the organizer has held previous events.

The event was the latest legal offering from SDCFM, which has held events since 2014.

Vendor booths filled the event’s indoor and outdoor areas, offering a selection of accessories, apparel, and other products.

Live glass-blowing, magic tricks, and sideshow artist Murrugan the Mystic were among the day’s entertainment.

Murrugun performed for the first time in public since a sword-swallowing accident in 2022.

Inside entertainment included DJ Boogie Blanco and performances from Michael Gabriel, Kahlee, and Fade Green.

The event allowed for onsite consumption, and attendees could order cannabis products through the Mankind dispensary booth.

With approximately 100 entries from about 40 companies, the event’s primary focus was the awards ceremony at 4:20.

Hosts Medi Mike and Christine Smith presented awards to the best cannabis product makers in various categories.

Farmers Market Founder Joshua Caruso says they were happy with the turnout and ranked the event in SDCFM’s top three.

“For the next few years, we will be focused on producing more mainstream events and San Diego permitting licensed cannabis event organizers to operate,” says Caruso. “We are searching for a permanent venue/partner so we can accommodate weekly events.”

Caruso says the 710 Cup is the next competition, with an in-person awards sesh set for sometime in mid-August.
