The HQ Coworking business has a long story!
We began HQ in the broken city of San Bernardino, where at the time it was being called the “Murder Capitol of USA”.
Fear did not discourage our team of budding entrepreneurs and community minded builders.
HQ was a grassroots effort to bring community builders together and support one another’s projects in the broken city.
Often I would be working in the back alley of HQ building the furniture needed for next day’s new member signups.
San Bernardino was not a hostile place!
I felt safe working in the alley to build there into 3-4am and coming back to the office at 7am to open up.
HQ San Bernardino was a simple space with AC, restrooms, wifi, desks, and a printer.
The HQ brought creatives of limited resources together and gave them a canvas to create for their community!
I found while working as a host to community creatives, community leaders, and startup entrepreneurs alike was that they all seemed to like cannabis.
Often after events, there would be gatherings on the Rooftop of the ‘20s style iconic Andreson building within the route 66 culture.
