A popular craft soda maker is preparing to launch its THC-infused sodas in Michigan, Nevada, and Washington dispensaries.

The Jones Soda Company says it will release its cannabis beverages in the coming months, just in time for summer.

Jones has been selling its THC-infused Mary Jones sodas in California since June 2022, when they debuted.

More than 275 dispensaries in California currently sell Mary Jones products.

According to the company, its longstanding reputation helped Mary Jones beverages become California’s fastest-growing new cannabis brand launch.

In March, the company announced an agreement to expand its distribution into new states.

According to the company, Michigan is the fourth largest U.S. cannabis market, and Nevada is the eighth.

Jones expects to launch its Mary Jones products in Washington during Q2.

“As the first branded soda company to expand into the cannabis space, we have unique advantages that includes 26 years of brand recognition, deep flavor science expertise, and an edgy brand personality that’s a perfect fit for the canna culture,” says Jones Soda Company President & CEO Mark Murray. “These attributes have already helped turn Mary Jones into California’s top infused carbonated beverage and the state’s fastest-growing cannabis brand, and we fully expect similar success in Washington, Michigan, Nevada, and every other market we enter.”

Jones says it has contracted Maxxx Labs to manufacture Mary Jones products for Michigan and Nevada.

Maxxx Labs has licensed manufacturing facilities in Nevada and Michigan and plans to expand into Texas, Florida, and Ohio.

The company also runs dispensaries in Michigan, where more than 1,050 licensed retail cannabis shops operate.

CEO Paul Schmitz, of Maxxx Labs’ parent company Core Investment Group, is optimistic about launching in Nevada and Michigan.

“This collaboration presents a unique opportunity to combine our expertise in cannabis manufacturing with Jones Soda’s well-known creativity in beverage development,” says Schmitz. “We will be bringing canna consumers in Michigan and Nevada new products that I fully expect to fly off the shelves and continue building Mary Jones into a leading brand in the cannabis space.”

Mary Jones 10mg sodas come in 12oz glass bottle four-packs and single 16oz 100mg resealable, child-resistant, multi-serve cans.

The brand’s concentrated 100mg syrups come in 4oz glass bottles.

Jones says it will announce which dispensaries in Nevada and Michigan will carry Mary Jones beverages shortly before launch.

“This launch is special for us,” says Jones Soda CMO Bohb Blair. “Nevada is unique, with a hometown group of consumers matched by a large tourist population. We want each of them to have a great Mary Jones experience to talk about when they get home.”
