There is a new online educational spot for employees, enthusiasts, and people looking for employment in the cannabis industry.

On Wednesday, the Cannabis Community College (CCC) announced the launch of its new education platform, which features high-value classes taught by industry experts.

CCC says the platform gives marketplace thought leaders a chance to spread knowledge through a highly sophisticated, completely automated back-end system.

With no set schedule, the new educational platform allows students to learn on their own time with all course materials available on demand.

“We are kicking off the updated platform by showcasing our 5-Course Bundle titled Cannabis Essentials, which was developed by some of the top names from several of the largest public and privately held, vertically integrated, multi-state operators in the country,” says CCC Chairman Christi McAdams. “We did this specifically for two reasons: first, to provide leverage to job seekers applying in a highly competitive market where a single job post easily produces hundreds of applicants, and second, to offer employers a simple and streamlined way to train newly hired staff.”

According to CCC, the new platform is unique, providing legal education requirements to work in licensed cannabis businesses in every state.

Subjects include state-specific compliance, standard operating procedures, and other essential courses that CCC says prepare students for work in various settings.

The Cannabis Essentials 5 Course Bundle includes:

  1. The state-specific, Compliance Essentials course–taught by industry experts Nova Cobble and Conor Gorman and advised by Pieter Hoolboom and Mark Kimble.
  2. The Cultivation Essentials course–taught by master grower Evan Marder.
  3. The Dispensary Essentials course–taught by dispensary owner Brenda Gunsallus.
  4. The Production Essentials course–taught by Lead Extract Technician Jordan Annalora from Body and Mind.
  5. The Cultivating A Cannabis Career course–taught by HR leader Bryan Olson.

To help ease entry, the Cannabis Essentials bundle is available at an introductory rate of $270.

CCC says the introductory rate is a fraction of traditional higher educational costs, and payment plans and scholarships are available.

CCC says students and graduates can access its online community, clubs like the Global Cannabis Industry Networking Group, and live educational webinars.

They can also find employment at licensed facilities across the country through the Cannabis Intern Project.
